An ingrowing toenail occurs when the nail grows into the surrounding skin, causing pain, redness, swelling, or infection. It can result from tight footwear, improper nail cutting, or injury. Early intervention helps avoid complications.
We offer a tailored approach depending on severity. All treatments are carried out by an experienced HCPC-registered podiatrist in a sterile, professional environment. We’ll assess your symptoms, discuss options, and ensure you’re comfortable throughout. You’ll receive full aftercare advice, dressings if needed, and the option for follow-up appointments to monitor healing or address further concerns.
A comprehensive appointment for painful or problematic toenails, performed by a qualified podiatrist. This consultation includes full assessment of the affected nail(s), gentle conservative treatment, and—if required—either a local anaesthetic injection or application of a Podofix nail brace on one toe.
This treatment is designed to relieve discomfort, address infection or hypergranulation, and help prevent recurrence. Additional toes can be treated at the same visit for an extra fee.

A non-invasive option for recurring or curved nails, using a corrective brace to guide nail growth over time.
For persistent or infected cases, a minor surgical procedure can permanently remove the problematic nail edge under local anaesthetic.
