Maintaining foot health is especially important when you have diabetes. Our diabetic foot care services are delivered by a HCPC-registered podiatrist and include a combination of preventative screening, personalised foot care advice, and professional clinical treatment—all in a safe, sterile environment.
A diabetic medical pedicure is a gentle, clinically safe foot treatment specifically adapted for diabetic patients. The appointment begins with a full foot health assessment, including circulation and sensation checks. Your nails will be carefully trimmed and thinned if needed, with any hard skin or corns safely removed using sterile instruments. The treatment is finished with a moisturising application and foot care advice tailored to your needs, helping to reduce the risk of future complications. This service is ideal for maintaining comfort, preventing issues, and supporting long-term foot health.
Please note: nail polish is not included in this treatment.
Our diabetic foot screening is a thorough annual check-up following NICE NG19 guidelines. This assessment includes a vascular examination to check blood flow using pedal pulse palpation and Doppler if required, alongside a neurological screening using a 10g monofilament and tuning fork to assess protective sensation. We’ll also evaluate the condition of your skin and nails, check your footwear, and assess for any signs of pressure or increased risk. The appointment concludes with personalised advice and, if requested, a summary report for your GP or diabetes care team.
